Alessandro joined EdComs in May 2008. He has worked on desk research assignments for government departments including the DCSF. He is responsible for keeping key EdComs clients (Royal Bank of Scotland and the Army) up to date on education news and policy developments.
Alessandro has specialised in content and data analysis within our Market Intelligence team. He managed a project for one of London's universities on their student satisfaction survey. Alessandro also created competitors' analysis for one of the leading awarding bodies in childcare-related qualifications.
Alessandro was awarded a First in Politics (BA) from the University of Essex and an MSc in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics. He is fluent in Italian and Spanish and can also speak Portuguese.
In July 2009 Alessandro was selected to be an educator and policy coordinator for the Young People G8 in Italy.
His international experience with qualitative, quantitative and secondary analysis has led him to participate in several cross-team projects, including:
- a project on technology in school in Spain
- a government research project involving British Muslims
- a project on English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses for migrant workers in the UK.
