Catherine has been with EdComs since August 2007. She worked initially in the Programme Development team, and was promoted to Head of Film in 2009.
At EdComs, Catherine has directed and produced content including:
- drama case studies for the Department for Transport
- a training DVD for the Royal Air Force
- a promo and full-length DVD for Transport for London
- online video resources for schools on behalf of BP and Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg), among others.
Before joining us, Catherine has a long freelance career in TV, during which she developed and directed documentary and drama for the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and Teachers TV. Her work has attracted Grierson Award and Secondary Learning BAFTA nominations.
Since 2003, she has specialised in programming and multimedia resources for young people and the education sector. She produced programming for the Training and Development Agency, the Quality and Improvement Agency and the DCSF.
Catherine is a volunteer Reading Partner in a primary school. She enjoys creative writing and is a published short-story writer.
