Jon Batterham

Jon has spent nine years undertaking education, skills and social research at EdComs. He heads up our research team and has overseen its growth from four to 14 researchers in the last five years, as well as a much-expanded client base.

Jon's mixed-methodology skill set and sector specialism enable him to adapt to meet the needs of the project and build long-term client relationships. He has extensive experience of conducting research with hard-to-reach audiences, and with parents, learners, teachers and key educational stakeholders.

Jon is skilled in designing and delivering research projects tailored to the client's desired outcomes. Over the last year, he has overseen projects for public- and commercial-sector clients including BSkyB, the Training and Development Agency, the Home Office and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Much of the research he has undertaken at EdComs has fed directly into policy change, qualification reform, resource development and communication strategies.

Jon has been an independent member of Haringey Council's Standards Committee since April 2009. His sporting and cultural interests are currently on hold due to the demands of being a father to two energetic toddlers.
