Richard Thorniley-Walker

Richard graduated from Edinburgh University in 2000 with a degree in Botany. After graduating, he spent two years teaching English as a foreign language to 15–18s in a school in northern Japan. He also ran seminars for Japanese English teachers on how to teach communicative English in the classroom.

Since returning to the UK he has worked as a freelance copy editor on a variety of subjects, and as an editorial assistant in the publishing department of the Chartered Insurance Industry producing learning materials and revision aids for financial-services topics.

Richard has worked on a number of projects at EdComs, including educational resources for the Royal Air Force and the award-winning Playground Partnerships primary schools project for Woolworths.

Outside of work he is a keen Ultimate Frisbee player in a London league. He also plays social rugby and enjoys snowboarding and hill-walking.
