Sophie joined EdComs in 2002 as account director on a number of our larger accounts. She managed a substantial citizenship and communications skills programme and awards scheme across all key stages for BT. Sophie was also instrumental in developing the BP Educational Service, its website, resource creation, fulfillment, and schools-outreach work.
Sophie has particular expertise in web development for education and an ongoing interest in online marketing and digital PR. Her first client was HM Treasury and HM Revenue and Customs, for whom she produced the award-winning Red Box multimedia resource. Her other clients have included Macmillan Cancer Research, The Children's Society and the Ministry of Justice.
Sophie has a degree in French and Latin from Oxford University. She previously worked as an editor and project manager for illustrated books for the UK trade and international publishing market. She also spent time abroad as a teaching assistant, and in an orphanage and school in India.
Sophie is now a trustee of The Batemans Trust and has been closely involved in its work for the last seven years. She currently holds the position of chair.
