The Live team designs and delivers bespoke training programmes and events, such as curriculum-related workshop and drama tours, and student conferences.
Our role in EdComs
Our clients' target audiences are comprised of teachers, primary and secondary school students, and employee volunteers. We use engaging and interactive methods in order to help our audiences understand key messages and particular areas of the curriculum.
Our current projects include:
- delivering training on personal finance education to teachers
- providing inspirational primary and secondary school workshops and Theatre in Education tours
- targeting the key curriculum areas of maths, science, enterprise, PSHE (personal, social and health education) and food nutrition
- training employee volunteers to enable them to deliver innovative and exciting lessons to school students, or to train others.
Core skills/background
All members of the Live team have a teaching background. We bring with us a strong understanding of education throughout key areas of the school curriculum.
We have teaching specialists in Drama, English and Science, as well as considerable expertise in event management, facilitation, health and safety, school recruitment and tour logistics.
We also employ many freelance specialists with professional backgrounds in primary and secondary teaching, acting, coaching, writing and facilitation. They help increase the breadth of knowledge and skills available to us so that we can ensure that we fully meet our clients' requirements.
How we work
In order to create custom-built programmes for our clients, we carry out extensive research with our target audiences. This helps ensure that all the activities we deliver are relevant and pitched to suit the abilities of those attending.
Once the research is completed, we design informative and engaging activities for the events and plan the content of the educational resources, often in conjunction with the EdComs Programme Development team.
The delivery of our training and events is led by teams that include in-house staff and freelance experts.
We also build in opportunities to evaluate our programmes with written and verbal feedback, as well as observations and interviews conducted by our Research team. This ensures that, should similar events be required in the future, we can provide a service that evolves according to the needs of our clients and event attendees.
