Policy analysis

We regularly use our robust theoretical knowledge of analysing policies and systems to produce concise and actionable policy recommendations for our clients.

We use pre-existing data alongside targeted primary inquiry to isolate and understand the impacts of identified policies for public- and private-sector clients. Hence, we are experienced in discerning the impacts of both organisational and public policies.

Our experience

In 2008, we were commissioned by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority to evaluate the impacts of the suite of Skills for Life qualifications by examining the effects of policy since 2004. We were asked to present recommendations for the development of ESOL in the context of an evolving qualifications environment.

Or approach was to combine the analysis of existing data with stakeholder interviews, case studies and an employer survey, to trace the impact of policy and reveal opportunities and demands for improvement.
